I've been in Mpls since Tuesday.
The plane rides were alright. I didn't get in the writing like I wanted to, to first flight to Milwaukee was too short, and I ended up falling asleep on the flight to Mpls. All's good, though. I didn't blow up. ![]()
Thursday and Friday was orientation. It was fun. I got there a little early on Thursday, around 0815, checked my bag for the overnight stay, then waited for check-in to start. For most of the day, there were all these information sessions about transitioning to college and all that. After dinner, a few of the folks in my group and I went down to the river and walked along the shore. It was fun; I'm surprised I didn't get mauled by mosquitoes. Had trouble sleeping that night, though. We stayed in Frontier Hall. I was in bed by 2230, I was so tired, but I could not fall asleep for nothing. For one, it was fucking hot as hell in my room. For two, every time I started to doze off, someone would laugh or open a door, and I was awake again. For three, I was worrying about my roommate, was she alright? Did she get lost? Did something happen to her? Did she forget what room we're in? I finally got to sleep when she came in around 0030. When I awoke, my neck was stiff as a mofo.
Friday morning, I got dressed and everything then went to breakfast. After that, I went to the registration appointment. The day before, they told us to show up and 0845 even though some of our appointments weren't until later. Four of us showed up all early as fuck. So the four of us walked to this nice little coffee shop a couple blocks away and hung out till our appointment time. Myself and another guy, Chris, had 1015. So we went back, I talked with my advisor, Mary Moga. She was really nice. I wanted to take Spanish, but it's full this semester, so I'm going to see about taking it in the Spring. Well, I got my schedule all situated and everything, then went to register them and all. I am so excited to start. I want it to be September already. :D Which is funny 'cause in high school, I just wanted it to end. XD
Anyway, this is what my schedule looks like:

Hahaha, that's it. I also have WRIT 1301: University Writing, but it's an online course, so I can get that done whenever. Haha, yea, I'm taking Turkish. :D I'm kind of thinking of registering for French 1022, there's a class right after Turkish, but I dunno if I should. I might email my advisor later.
There's a guy on zB, joined last month.. He's from Turkey. :D I helped him with an issue with his Zune card, and ever since, he's been kind of attached to me. He makes a bunch of Zune wallpapers. One of them had a cello in it, so I commented that I liked the cello one. His next bundle of wallpapers were all cello ones, and he said specifically the pack was for me. ^^() And he added me on Facebook, too. He's really cute. His name's İlkay. He's 24 and a freelance graphic designer. When I posted my class schedule, he said he'd help me with Turkish if I ever needed it. ^^
Anyway, I ordered a Turkish-English dictionary last night. I should get it in the next week or two.
Well, it's 1115. I should get dressed and find some food. Au revoir pour maintenant, mes amis!

Yays college!
Turkish? That's awesome! What other languages does your school offer? Mine has a few, but it's not a requirement so it's rare I see a class offered
There's:
Yea, a lot. I was like
when I saw the list. The College of Liberal Arts, the college I'm in, requires two years of a foreign language, while the other colleges don't. I'm hoping to get a couple langauges in before I graduate.
