There is some good news on the horizon for us IGunZ players. A new GunZ version is coming out(Pending on the contract signing with the unknown publisher), and the servers and services will be based in North America. We have learned that this is NOT a local version for North America, but is basically the new IGunZ, which has been code named by Tsuteto as gGunZ. Many people are for this and many people are against this. Today, you will get my opinion on the whole thing.

There is one thing I'd like to settle before anything... There are two countries in North America, Unite States of America(notice it is OF America) and Canada. Both are American countries, both North, making them both in North America. Many block buster games come from Canada(Prince of Persia, Knights of the Old Republic, and many more), just as a little back reference(For no real reason). Meaning more than the US would be allowed to play IF there was an IP block anyways.

Many people appear to be upset with a new GunZ, with is basically the new version of IGunZ we have all be waiting anxiously for. There is several reasons for this(which I have deducted):

1. The code for IGunZ is very outdated. It would be easier to make an entirely new version than to update it as it is. Even if they did update it, the update would probably be such a change there would need to be a P-Wipe anyways. Plus it would be the same pings with less lag, due to the lack of X-Trap and a more effcient server model.

2. North America is the natural choice for gGunZ. This is basically because mostly North Americans and people quite close to North America play IGunZ. I did not say ONLY North Americans and people close to North America play IGunZ, I SAID SOME!!! This makes it the natural choice as the "median" area, so the majority will have better pings and less latency than the current one in Korea.

3. IGunZ is stale. They need something new to maybe rekindle everyone's love affair with GunZ. A new version, completely fresh, is just what everyone needs. Everyone wants to be number one, now we all have a chance, meaning everyone will play and everyone will buy prems. Its good marketing, I must say.

As for people against gGunZ, maybe they should just cancel everything now. I mean, if you hate it before its opened and before you try it, maybe you shouldn't be able to play? Being selfish won't get a localized version, just be happy MAIET actually kept up their original idea of making a full version for us.

Personally, I prefer playing against people from all over the world. I made quite a few friends playing late night games against people from other countries. Turks, French, English, and Portuguese people are just some of the people who add more to the game than people give credit for. I mean, come on, it would get boring if everyone was the same, we would never need to change, we all know what each other would be capable of. No randomness, no point.

I know this post will be picked apart with stupid technical details, but hopefully some people will be converted, and be grateful that a Korean based company took the time and effort to FIND us a publisher to provide us more localised services than we had before, plus the full version...

Thanks,

Chritie

Ah. That does exist Grey, its just cheating lol...

And it wasn't officially called NAGunZ, that was just a name put on it at first by the people, but is inaccurate, mainly because it is open to all(in Beta), and we don't know if it will be localized or not. It is just better not the call it NAGunZ, its services are in NA, but it may not be localized. Plus calling it NAGunZ confused a lot of people who don't have good reading comprehension, and resulted in flaming, complaining, and other crap. Which is why it was code named, gGunZ.
